Misunderstanding, I Think (prompted)

I was trapped in some cramped underground pipe system filled with water. There was so much water I couldn’t breathe, except through some hose that somebody had stuck into my belly. To this day, I have no idea why that worked. When they finally pulled me out, you’d think I’d be relieved, but there were all these people standing around with masks on, staring at me with eyes that seemed to say they were surprised and shocked and frightened all at the same time. I briefly saw myself in a mirror and saw that I was the most hideous looking thing I had ever seen. Plus, I was completely naked I started crying and crying. I had no way of getting control of my emotions. I was a monster, cold and ashamed and confused and terrified. And now I was exhibiting poor social skills besides. Then they pulled out the hose that was sticking in my stomach, cut off the end of my youknow, and wrapped me almost completely in a blanket. That’s when I passed out. I still have no idea what that was all about, but I hope it never happens again.
